Piegari – Buenos Aires
We recently downgraded Piegari in multiple categories. After a recent remodel the decor is mundane and boring. The restaurant used inferior ingredients on a risotto on a recent visit. Outrageously expensive for Buenos Aires. Not a bad restaurant. Just a horribly overpriced one.
Sagardi – Buenos Aires
This is easily the nicest restaurant in San Telmo. Professionally designed. Excellent service. This is the best Basque cuisine in town and one of the best of restaurants in the entire city. Great for tapas, sharing a glass of wine or a cocktail with friends.
Basa – Buenos Aires
Basa is sleek and trendy. Upscale. Uptempo. Restaurant. Bar. Take your pick. Great food. Unique menu. A bit loud. If you’re looking for a traditional restaurant try one of many in La Recova four blocks away.
