Diana es el restaurante principal en lo que es quiz\u00e1s el m\u00e1s lujoso de todos los hoteles de gama alta en la ciudad de M\u00e9xico. Recientemente elogiamos el desayuno en la terraza de Diana con vista a la Fuente de la Diana Cazadora en Paseo de la Reforma. \u00bfC\u00f3mo le ir\u00eda a la cena en el restaurante en nuestra cr\u00edtica.<\/p>\n

La decoraci\u00f3n es contempor\u00e1nea, pero elegante. Una mezcla ecl\u00e9ctica de decoraci\u00f3n y de los muebles. Techos altos. Hermosos murales. Aunque algo austero, sin duda es agradable.<\/p>\n

El servicio es de primera clase. Desde que llegas hasta que sales, la anfitriona, los camareros, los runners y el gerente estaban muy atentos y eran amables. Fue un servicio impecable, aunque debemos confesar que el restaurante estaba casi vac\u00edo. Dos otras mesas estaban ocupadas en una habitaci\u00f3n bastante grande en la noche que fui a Diana.<\/p>\n

El men\u00fa tiene un ambiente europeo. Gourmet, pero utilizando ingredientes ind\u00edgenas. En este sentido, el men\u00fa es muy similar al tipo de men\u00fa que vimos en Ra\u00edz.<\/p>\n

Como aperitivo, ped\u00ed el Aguachile de Flor de Jamaica. Un aguachile es una especie de variaci\u00f3n mexicana en un ceviche. Es una preparaci\u00f3n cruda de mariscos marinados en jugo de lim\u00f3n, complementado con chile, cebolla y otros condimentos, dependiendo de la receta.<\/p>\n

Esta versi\u00f3n ten\u00eda lubina y vieiras con aguacate y cebolla sentados en un delicado caldo con un aceite de hibisco rojo brillante (flor de Jamaica). Como las fotos indican, el plato estaba muy bien ejecutado.<\/p>\n

Para el plato principal ped\u00ed los Gnocchi St. Regis Florencia (Gnocchi de hongos Morel con aceite de trufa negra y Grana Padano). A menudo, la salsa usada para el gnocchi es cremosa, pero esto era un caldo delicado de la seta con una indirecta del aceite negro de la trufa. El queso ten\u00eda un aroma rico. Supongo que era real Grano Padano. El plato estaba sabroso.<\/p>\n

Despu\u00e9s de dos platos exitosos y sabrosos, tuve que darle una oportunidad al pastelero.<\/p>\n

Ped\u00ed el Pastel Tres Leches, el cl\u00e1sico pastel latinoamericano, utilizando tres tipos de leche. Esto era una versi\u00f3n gastron\u00f3mica de lujo. El pastel era una delicada porci\u00f3n plana de pastel cortado en forma circular, cubierto con una jalea de naranja y crema batida. Acompa\u00f1ado por helado Champurrado (una mezcla de chocolate caliente espesada con harina de ma\u00edz). Una exquisitez. Y la presentaci\u00f3n fue tan impresionante como el sabor.<\/p>\n

Tres cursos perfectamente ejecutados de un men\u00fa creativo. No lo entiendo. \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 no esta este restaurante mencionado entre los mejores restaurantes de la ciudad? Es tan sofisticado y probablemente m\u00e1s que los muy alabados Pujol o Quintonil.<\/p>\n

S\u00ed. Es un restaurante de un hotel. \u00bfPero es alguna raz\u00f3n por la cual degradar una comida de otro modo impecable en un ambiente refinado y c\u00f3modo?\n<\/p><\/div>\n
