This place is so likeable in so many ways. It\u2019s this clever mix of restaurant and fresh food market that is appealing to every sense.<\/p>\n

The menu is creative, boasting fresh ingredients.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve read a few online comments about the bad service offered at this restaurant. I find that a bit puzzling. At the Milan 44 location that I visited there was no table service. You order at the counter and then the food was delivered to your table.<\/p>\n

The service at the counter was friendly and attentive. The tables were kept clean. My order was delivered to the table within 5 to 10 minutes of the time I ordered it. I felt everything was exactly as I expected based on this genre of restaurant. The prices, contrary to what the consumer reviewers have stated on the restaurant\u2019s Facebook page are not expensive. The breakfasts are all around US $5.25 to $5.50 (100 to 115 pesos). Sandwiches and salads range from about US $6.25 to $8.00 (120 to 150 pesos). The cappuccino was a ridiculously low US $1.30. Cheaper than ANY other caf\u00e9 we\u2019ve visited in the city.<\/p>\n

I ordered the chilaquiles with an egg and salsa verde. It was delicious. With the added benefit of several slices of avocado and tomato.<\/p>\n

Perhaps the service in the Polanco and Condesa restaurants is not up to what I experienced in Juarez at Milan 44. We\u2019ll do some further exploring later this year to see if any of these comments about bad service can be substantiated.<\/p>\n

Based on my visit for breakfast, I think this is one of the nicest and most pleasant restaurants in town for breakfast, sandwiches or salads. And one of the best values as well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
