The décor is attractive. The place is usually busy in the evening and during the peak of the lunch hour, but there’s rarely a wait for a table.
Local mezcal producer, Alipús, has opened three restaurants in CDMX. Ambience and service were good but execution of the flautas fell short of expectations. Good but not great.
Chimiburger offers gourmet burgers with juicy beef patties, fresh buns, and all the good fixins. Spicy? Try the Chila Burger with a Minerva craft beer.
Hooters in Mexico City serves the same iconic hot wings and has the same trademark service as the 460 plus other locations worldwide. Amaya is a more casual version of chef Jair Tellez’s Meretoro in Condesa. Ambiance is pleasant. Service was good. But unlike the flawless execution on our recent visit to Merotoro, there were multiple errors in execution on the entree course we were served at Amaya.
The decor is not quite right, but not as gaudy as Dulce Patria. Service staff seemed a bit confused and flustered. That didn’t really affect service after the first course however. The food was surprisingly good.
Pretty darn good breakfast. The coffee is good, although coffee aficionadas will be saying it just doesn’t compare to Chiquitito Café.
Cáfe that only sells coffee in paper cups. But they have 12 varieties of coffee using beans from all over the world. Ambiance and service are lacking.
