In a Nutshell

Service was top-notch with an army of waiters scurrying about on the terrace attending to every request. The WIFI worked flawlessly.

The obvious advantage of La Aceituna is its proximity to the many international hotels situated within a couple of blocks. It has a large awning covered terrace with four large flat screen televisions, usually showing some sporting event (most often soccer). The terrace is a pleasant venue for sitting, enjoying a beer or a cup of coffee, watching the people strolling by, or, as I did on this particular Saturday morning, having some eggs for breakfast. They open for service at 9 a.m., seven days a week and have a big variety of items on their breakfast menu.

I had the Diablos, scrambled eggs drenched in a chipotle pepper sauce, with a bit of refried beans on the side. On request they’ll provide you with a basket of tortillas you can use to fashion some Diablos tacos.

Service was top-notch with an army of waiters scurrying about on the terrace attending to every request. The WIFI worked flawlessly although the password was a bit hard to understand so I let the waiter type it in for me. (The only WIFI password I don’t have trouble with is “youcanthackthis”.)

The only downside to this place is that (at least on Saturday mornings) if you sit on the terrace you’ll be bombarded by beggars and street vendors selling every worthless commodity you can imagine.

But if you can endure that misery, you can enjoy a fairly breakfast.
