Frëims
In a Nutshell
Pretty darn good breakfast. The coffee is good, although coffee aficionadas will be saying it just doesn’t compare to Chiquitito Café.

Everybody needs a niche. A gimmick, if you will. That niche at Frëims is the Belgian waffle. If you buy something to eat at Frëims, it’s coming with or attached to a waffle.
I visited Frëims for lunch recently and had the BLT, a sandwich with the ingredients all stuffed between a couple of waffles. Take a look at this sandwich and my comments about that visit here.
This niche works out pretty good for anyone looking for a good breakfast. They serve up waffles a variety of ways, including the Grand Slam, served with two eggs and huge pile of bacon. For you Aussies and Brits . . . Sorry, no beans on this plate. Just a big spoonful of fresh fruit. That sliced blackberry is the biggest one I’ve ever seen.
Pretty darn good breakfast. The coffee is good, although coffee aficionadas will be saying it just doesn’t compare to the cups of coffee served up at nearby Chiquitito Café or Pasion del Cielo.
But I can lower myself to an average cup of coffee for the upside of having a waffle and an egg (which you won’t find at the other two cafés).
Nice place. Nice ambiance. Average service. But most importantly, fried eggs.
