In a Nutshell

Le Due Torri, with three locations in Santiago, is an old school Italian ristorante, Santiaguino-style. Although it falls a bit short of authentic, it’s an admirable attempt, typically with acceptable service and execution of the menu.

Le Due Torri attempts to elevate a variety of Italian classics and local favorites to upscale status. There are three locations. We have only visited the location on Isidora in Las Condes, but all the locations have similar décor which could only be described as dated and boring. But they are clean with nice white table linens. A respectable attempt at an Italian ristorante.

There are lots of seafood dishes, mostly pasta, with a variety of cream and tomato-based sauces. And some impressive antipasto. The plate full of sea urchin was outstanding. And the house specialty, the lasagna, is like a five-story office building covered in Bolognese sauce. Execution is better than average, but still there are often lapses of both service and execution. You can expect overcooked fish, which is the norm in Santiago.

Save room for something at the end of the meal because the desserts are where this restaurant shines. They are delicious, creative and well-executed.
