In a Nutshell
Rubaiyat Santiago is the Santiago location of the acclaimed international steakhouse chain, Rubaiyat - Cabañas las Lilas. At Rubaiyat Santiago, you'll find ribeyes and strip steaks imported from famed beef producers, Cabañas las Lilas in Argentina, and other high-quality cuts imported from Brazil, firewood-grilled to perfection. Top-notch service and slightly contemporary, but warm steakhouse décor make Rubaiyat one of the highest rated steakhouses in Santiago.

Rubaiyat steakhouses have garnered international acclaim. Brazil-based Rubaiyat draws on the four-generation expertise of famed beef breeding family Cabaña las Lilas to create what is arguably the world's most respected chain of steakhouses. The restaurant offers beef imported from both Argentina and Brazil. The Bife de Chorizo (shown as Chorizo Steak on the English menu) is an Argentine strip steak and the Bife Cabaña las Lilas is an Argentine ribeye. The remainder of the steak offerings are high-quality beef imported from Brazil.
Service is top-notch. Rubaiyat garners a rating equal to nearby Carnal Prime steakhouse, but the two restaurants rely on quite different philosophies. Lima-based Carnal Prime emphasizes use of imported USDA prime Black Angus beef that is grilled in an infrared broiler, similar to a Ruth Chris's steakhouse in the USA. Rubaiyat's calling card is firewood grilled Argentine beef that's a bit earthier. Which is better depends on your personal preferences.
The Santiago restaurant is located on restaurant-row (Nueva Costanera) in the upscale neighborhood of Vitacura, in close proximity to most of the city's best upscale restaurants. Rubaiyat Santiago is a large single-room restaurant that's expertly decorated. It has the look and feel of a high-end steakhouse with a slightly modern personality, the owners electing to avoid any stereotypical "estancia" decor in favor of a clean, sophisticated ambiance.
Rubaiyat Santiago garners an admirable 4.5 star rating, equal to or better than all steakhouses we've reviewed in Santiago, which we think you'll find is the only ones warranting a visit.
