La Sanguchera
In a Nutshell
La Sanguchera, with locations in or near the food courts of several popular shopping malls, sandwiches with fresh ingredients. Seating is right in the frenetic midst of hundreds of mall guests walking from the escalator to the mall food-court. But the sandwiches are tasty and the service was better than acceptable.

La Sanguchera has several locations in the city’s top shopping malls. I recently visited the restaurant located on the food-court floor of Costanera Center. The restaurant has the appearance of a fancy fast-food establishment with a big display menu above the counter. But unlike a fast-food and fast-casual restaurant, La Sanguchera does have table service with waiters and waitresses. The service was surprisingly good. It was busy, but our waiter approached us quickly after we sat down at an available table. He provided menus and checked back every few minutes to see if we were ready to order. He answered the few questions I had then, easily within ten minutes, our sandwiches were on the table.
They looked impressive, stacked high with lots of meat and toppings. But how would they taste? Delicious. Great bread. Great meats and condiments. Bread to ingredients was the perfect ratio.
These sandwiches aren’t cheap at about US$9 each, but that includes your choice French fries, shoestring potatoes or a salad on the side.
The seating, out in the passageway leading from the escalators into the food court wasn’t the most aesthetically appealing arrangement, but for anyone seeking a quick, delicious sandwich, that doesn’t mind the no-frills ambiance, it’s hard to beat La Sanguchera.
