Otronia - Block III & VI Chardonnay
Chubut - Patanonia - Argentina
The Otronia Block III & VI Chardonnay is the most ambitious of the Otrania whites and comes from blocks III and VI, from Burgundy clonal selections, planted in 2010 on soils with a layer of sand (it is a very windy area) and a lake bottom subsoil. rich in clays. It is aged for 20 months in foudres and what comes out of them is a pure expression of that cold and windy desert in the heart of Argentine Patagonia. This is dense with fruit and spice flavors, marked by intense acidity that moves through the mouth to the finish, underlining the fruity flavors and giving energy, also focusing on intriguing saline hints. It is creamy in texture, broad, round. A white that today is a delight, but that will surely gain in complexity with years in the bottle. Five, at least.
