Catena Zapata - Malbec Argentino
Nicasia Vineyard - La Consulta and San Carlos - Argentina
The Catena Zapata Argentino Malbec comes from ungrafted malbec planted during the 1920s in the Angélica Vineyard from plants brought from France in the 19th century. The wine ferments in new French oak, partly in whole bunches, that develops the rich black-fruit complexity at the foundation of this wine, while an airy, coffee-like edge adds lightness. It’s rich but not heavy and will improve with age. This wine will be at its best beginning in 2024.
