In a Nutshell
Interesting menu including breakfasts with eggs. Erratic service and execution of the menu. Belgrano location seems more consistent and more popular.

Jolie Bistro is a contemporary-style café cum bistro offering a menu that appears typically Argentine, but done in some very non-Argentine ways. They offer a range of breakfast items. Most of is your usual collection of bread and pastries. However, they do have scrambled eggs and poached eggs and a slightly lame version of French Toast.
There are sandwiches, salads and a handful of main course dishes that look interesting and venture slightly off-course in an interesting direction. Things like braised lamb, almond-crusted rabbit and Tikka Masala chicken.
I tried the French toast. It was better barely than average. And it was burnt on one side. But, I had the Croque Madame at the Belgrano location and it was very good. I ordered a lomito sandwich on another visit for lunch and that was barely better than boring. A steak? The one I was served was not bad. But then again, it’s hard to screw up a steak unless you overcook it. Fortunately they didn’t do that.
Bottom line. It seems to be a menu that sounds interesting that isn’t very well executed and that’s served by a staff offering lackluster service. Inconsistent at best.
In a barrio like Villa Crespo or Almagro this would be a very good option. But in Palermo Hollywood or Belgrano, there are better choices.
