In a Nutshell

Ollie O's choice for lounging with a cup of coffee in Palermo Soho. 100% Colombian coffee. 100% Argentine beef in the burger. It's 100% "Go!"

Let’s assume you wake up on the west end of Palermo Soho on about any morning, any time of the year. The way I see it, you have a couple of choices for a “specialty” coffee shop, Full City Coffee House, or Lattente, located within three blocks of each other.

The credo at Lattente is “No WIFI, No Newspapers, No beverage other than coffee, and No PCs or Macs in this café”. Well, unlike the patrons at Lattente, I have a job. And that job requires using a computer and checking my email occasionally, which of course, requires WIFI. I do not consider it a badge of honor to be unemployed. So, for that reason, I don’t drink coffee at Lattente. But if you’re unemployed and like to read books, Lattente might be your cup of tea. (Maybe not since they don’t serve cups of tea.)

But if you want to read a magazine, a newspaper, or check your email inbox while your drinking a cup of coffee, Full City Coffee House is the clear choice.

Oh. Did I mention . . . they have coffee? Good coffee. 100% Colombian, from all the major producing regions in the country, roasted in-house.

They also serve a wide variety of food, both sweet and savory items. They even have a full English breakfast, complete with the mashers and beans.

My latest waiter was the friendliest and most helpful waiter I’ve experienced in Buenos Aires.
