In a Nutshell
Café Seúl is a good choice for a quick coffee and pastry in the morning, or an Asian inspired rice bowl or sandwich at lunch or dinner. Reasonably priced, and reasonably authentic. One of our favorite choices for a different take on lunch near downtown.

Café Seúl, located in the Retiro neighborhood, close to downtonw, is one of a handful of casual ethnic dining restaurants in Buenos Aires offering Southeast Asian cuisine. Sleek and slightly modern ambience. A very limited menu offering vegetarian, chicken and beef versions of Korean bimimbap (rice bowls) and a sandwich version of each without the rice, nestled between two slices of white bread.
I was pleasantly surprised by the sandwich. Although the white bread looks a lacking, it was actually quite tasty, having soaked up some of the juices from spiced beef.
Overall a quick, pleasant and inexpensive choice for something a bit different than pasta, pizza, burgers and steaks in Buenos Aires.
For a similar, but more expansive menu, also consider Fa Song Song, a few blocks away with the bonus of having some noodle soups on the menu.
