In a Nutshell

Buller Pub in Buenos Aires is a highly popular brewpub in Buenos Aires with locations in Recoleta, in Microcentro (downtown), Palermo and Villa Crespo. Excellent craft beers. Try the sampler. Better bar-food than similar competitors like On Tap, Antares, Berlina and Patagonia brewpubs.

Buller Brewpub was likely the first on-site micro-brewery in Buenos Aires to give local legend, Antares, a run for its money in the genre. It opened about a decade ago on the restaurant row facing the Recoleta cemetery and has been going full guns ever since, serving a diverse menu of bar food and craft beers and ales brewed in-house. The brewing used to be done on-site but they’ve now moved the beer production to a brewery located southwest of town.

Buller is open for lunch and dinner and the place is usually packed during the evening hours so you might have a short wait for a table. There’s usually a spot at the bar available without a wait.

The menu is perfectly suited for a bar selling brews. Pizza, burgers, sandwiches, and some Tex-Mex cantina fare. The place is always bustling and busy so the execution on food and the service can be sporadic. For our money, it’s a much better choice than nearby TGI Friday’s, unless you’re looking for hot wings. The food is bit pricy for casual fare, but not overly so, considering the popularity of the place and the location.

The beer is good too. They offer a sampler so you can try a host of beers to find your favorite.

This is one of the most popular brewpubs in the city and paved the way for a host that followed in the same genre. Buller Pub has recently expanded they’re popular pub with three new locations. One downtown (Microcentro), one in Villa Crespo, and another in Palermo.

If Antares is the Grandaddy of brewpubs in Buenos Aires, Buller is surely the favorite Uncle.
