The dispute will never be settled. Who drinks more coffee, Colombians, Mexicans or the residents of Buenos Aires? Coffee is such an integral part of all those cultures. The coffee culture of the Porteños of Argentina’s big capital city is one rooted in Italian tradition. It’s the strong shot of espresso that keeps this city rolling. Mexicans seem to prefer the mellower coffee from Oaxaca, whether dribbled from the espresso machine or brewed. But, surprisingly (or perhaps not considering the climate), it’s not Latinos that drink the most coffee in the world. That award goes to the Scandinavians. Here’s our list of the top cafés and coffee shops in Mexico City.
