The best restaurants in Palermo Hollywood Filter by location, cuisine and price

Palermo Hollywood is Palermo Soho’s younger, slightly more rebellious little sister. She has a Bohemian personality with a few tattoos and piercings, but is pretty enough to attract attention. This barrio has more bars than it has restaurants, yet that personality is changing slightly. It used to be impossible to even find a restaurant open for lunch in this barrio. Now it’s home to restaurants with some of our most highly rated multi-course lunch menus and there are some high-end cafes serving full-fledged breakfasts.

Palermo Hollywood is quickly becoming one of our favorite barrios for unique dining experiences.

La Birra Bar – Buenos Aires
La Birra Bar – Buenos Aires

La Birra Bar is the new rage in burgers in Buenos Aires. For pretty good reason. If you don’t mind standing in line for few minutes then waiting another 15 minutes or so to pick up your burger and fries, you’ll be treated to one of the most masterfully built burgers in Buenos Aires.

El Quinto – Buenos Aires
El Quinto – Buenos Aires

El Quinto offers a sleek, modern décor and a menu that hops around Asia, more than a Japanese flight attendant. Another wonderful addition to the new group of restaurants paying homage to some of the world’s best cuisines.

Siamo nel Forno – Buenos Aires
Siamo nel Forno – Buenos Aires

Siamo nel Forno plays the “authenticity” card in the high-stakes game of pizzas in a city full of pizzerías. Siamo nel Forno and San Paulo pizzerías are about the only two restaurants in the city that come even remotely close to serving an authentic Neapolitan pizza. Our pizza was a bit soggier than it should have been. But Siamo nel Forno still gets an “A” for effort.

Duque – Buenos Aires
Duque – Buenos Aires

Duque is the best mix of food, service, ambience, creativity and value among the hundreds of steakhouses in Buenos Aires. Check out the lengthy review to see why.

Burgertify – Buenos Aires
Burgertify – Buenos Aires

Burgertify means it’s Game Over for the competition. It sells the yummiest burgers in Palermo Hollywood. It’s a darn good thing they have plenty of napkins. You’ll need one for this juicy burger.

KOI Dumplings – Buenos Aires
KOI Dumplings – Buenos Aires

KOI Dumplings, in Palermo Hollywood, gets Asian street food right, teamed up with good locally brewed artisanal beer. There’s a laid-back atmosphere with a big rooftop terrace. One of the few good Asian dining outings in Buenos Aires.

Brandon – Buenos Aires
Brandon – Buenos Aires

Brandon has a nice contemporary decor, a young well-trained staff and a short but well executed menu. But prices are bit steep, even for Palermo Hollywood

Uco – Buenos Aires
Uco – Buenos Aires

Uco. A clean, sleek décor, a friendly and efficient staff of waiters, and an interesting and unique menu, perfectly executed, arguably make UCO the best upscale casual dining choice in Palermo Hollywood.

Sunae Asian Cantina – Buenos Aires
Sunae Asian Cantina – Buenos Aires

Sunae Asian Bistro is southeast Asian cuisine, done right. Best option for casual-dining Asian in Buenos Aires!

Grappa – Buenos Aires
Grappa – Buenos Aires

Grappa is a stylish, upscale Italian trattoria in Palermo Hollywood. We like the pizza. And the imported Grappa!

El Manto – Buenos Aires
El Manto – Buenos Aires

El Manto serves classic middle-eastern cuisine in an upscale setting. Good service and excellent execution of interesting menu. Classy. Dimly lit. Excellent venue for a romantic evening out.

Cucina Paradiso – Buenos Aires
Cucina Paradiso – Buenos Aires

Casual Italian cuisine for trattoria lovers. Mostly pastas and risottos, well-executed in a pleasant atmosphere. About as authentic as you’ll find in the Buenos Aires. Reasonably priced.

Osaka – Buenos Aires
Osaka – Buenos Aires

Osaka is the gold-standard in Buenos Aires for Nikkei cuisine. Osaka has mastered the genre with exquisite ambiance, execution and service, albeit at a hefty price tag for BA.

Oui Oui – Buenos Aires
Oui Oui – Buenos Aires

Restaurants serving great breakfast and brunch with eggs are a rarity in Buenos Aires. This little bistro / cafe in Palermo Hollywood is now Ollie O’s “go to” place for breakfast or a casual brunch.

Olaya – Buenos Aires
Olaya – Buenos Aires

Peruvian-Asian Fusion in a casual, contemporary setting. Authentic Peruvian cuisine but way overpriced. The prix fixe lunch menu makes Olaya worth a visit for lunch, weekdays.

Peron Peron – Buenos Aires
Peron Peron – Buenos Aires

If we’d have know that Evita could inspire a restaurateur to put out rich, sumptuous comfort food and equally good beer we’d have changed our political leanings years ago. Don’t miss Peron, Peron.

Trova (Wine Bar) – Buenos Aires
Trova (Wine Bar) – Buenos Aires

Outstanding food in stark but tastefully decorated restaurant. Sommelier will show you the wine collection and provide information about the region, the grape variety and vintage of each wine. We really enjoyed this outing and think you will as well.
