About the Lists
Annually, ComaBeba.com will publish lists of the best restaurants in Hispanic Latin America in various categories and will rank the restaurants named in those lists. We do not currently publish reviews for restaurants in Brazil nor currently in any cities in Latin America other than Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Lima, Mexico City and Santiago, Chile. Thus, our list only shows restaurants in those five cities.
This is the anticipated publication date for the first five lists that will be published
December 28, 2018 – 50 Best Upscale Restaurants in Latin America
January 9, 2019 – 100 Best Casual Dining Restaurants in Latin America
January 15, 2019 – 25 Best Steakhouses in Latin America
January 22, 2019 – 25 Best Burger Joints in Latin America
January 29, 2019 – 25 Best Pizzerías in Latin America
We will announce additional lists in January of 2019 as well.
The rankings of the restaurants do not necessarily correspond directly with the ratings of those restaurants in the reviews. For our lists with rankings the categories of creativity, value and logistics for upscale restaurants are given less weight than they are in the reviews for overall rating. And our review staff is afforded complete freedom to rank the restaurants to render the results they feel are the most accurate.
ComaBeba.com is the only source for reviews and rating and restaurants in Latin America that can provide proof of having visited and eaten at all the restaurants in the list prior to publication of each review.
Note: Our review staff was unable to visit two highly ranked restaurants in the San Pelligrino list of the 50 Best Restaurants for Latin America (published by William Reed Media) in Lima, Central and Maido. They are both outstanding restaurants. All other restaurants that appear in the San Pelligrino list in the five cities we cover did not impress us enough to make our list. We note further that many restaurants ranked in the San Pelligrino list cannot be classified at upscale restaurants. The ambiance, service and style or quality of the food simply does not warrant being placed in our list of upscale restaurants. However, many of those restaurants will appear in our list of casual dining restaurants or steakhouses that will be published or about January 9, 2019.
