Restaurant Review for Dosis Café
Right smack dab in the middle of Roma Norte on the main artery, Alvaro Obregon, lies Dosis Café.
A nice ambiance in a big single room lounge flooded with light from the glass storefront. A few sofas and hammocks spread about and a large communal. And a few smaller tables. A clean, loft-like décor, with exposed brick walls. Traditional espresso or brewed. They even have cold-brewed coffee. Whatever your preference. Up tempo music. Tattooed barista with fabricated silver hair (not natural, like mine). Friendly. Informative. Middle of the road prices.
Prices were middle of the road compared to similar cafés. About US$2.50 (40 pesos) for a cappuccino. Not much in the way pastries or baked goods to accompany your cup of coffee. They have a brownie, a blondie, and an apple tart, and a couple of other finger foods. Nothing all that elaborate. I think it’s fair to say that at Dosis, it’s more about the coffee than the piece of pie.
